New Zealand, after losing the first game they played in almost seven months, will be looking to make a strong comeback in the second T20I. New Zealand has already displayed that they are one best team in White-Ball
cricket. They will be infuriated after falling just 2 runs short in the first match. On the other hand, Pakistan will be looking to add another series win to their winning streak. They have won their last 10 T20I series. They are in a very good form in the shortest format of the game. The likes of Babar Azam, Mohammed Hafeez firing with the bat and it is the young Bowling line-up that has really helped them win most of the games.
Let’s start with the Pitch and conditions.
The game will be played on Dubai
. The pitch should help the slow bowlers as it has done in the past. So, spinners will be doing the job of containing the runs in the middle-innings, while pacers will be looking to use the slower deliveries as much as possible in the slog overs.
Players to Look Out For Babar Azam
and Mohammed Hafeez
again will be the key players for Pakistan. They both were playing superbly well against Australia. So, they will be looking to carry their form and replicate the past performances. Babar Azam failed to convert in the first T20I, however, Hafeez scored a match-saving 45. On the bowling front, Imad Wasim
will be a key player for them. He has the ability to strike wickets in the powerplay. And with Munro having not a very good record in UAE, he can be the first target of Wasim. Kane Williamson
will be the most important player for New Zealand in the batting department. Considering how well he has performed against spin in IPL, he will definitely be the pivot of the NZ’s batting line-up. He couldn’t perform that well in the first T20I falling to Imad Wasim. Both Azaz Patel
& Ish Sodhi
bowled pretty well in the previous match. And they will be looking to continue their good performance in this match as the contribution of spinners is very important to win matches in UAE.
Pakistan is unlikely to make any changes in their winning side. However, Fakhar Zaman can return to the side if he passes the fitness test. This is a must-win game for New Zealand. So, it will not be feasible to change the combination. However, the impressive T20 Batsman, Mark Chapman
can come into the side in place of Tim Seife
rt, who is a wicket-keeper batsman with Glenn Phillips keeping the wickets but it also very unlikely.
